DECEMBER 2000

29 December:  Jeff played another "In The Round" at the Bluebird.   Show was webcast, but isn't archived yet.  Set list is Moon Man, June, Sunday's Forgivin', Delta Down, She's a Mama Now, West of Rome.
19 December:  Jeff played a great 30-minute set on the Billy Block Western Beat show at The Exit/In, Nashville (also an audio webcast).   Other artists included: Uncle Lightnin', Brenda Best, Phil Madeira, Greg Trooper.  Setlist: Love and Happiness, Delta Down, Goodbye is Just a Freight Train Coming, Kisses from a Train, West of Rome and Eighteen Tons. 
6 December:  Friday 8 December seems to be a possible date for the airing of Jeff's appearance (he played Delta Down and Eighteen Tons, and did a short interview) on the Italian TV show- Perepepè, which was recorded on November 28 for Radio Televisione Italiana (RAI) in Milan.   Show is aired 23:30 hrs on RAI 2.  http://www.rai.it/
2 December:  Original Fin will be available in UK record stores in January 2001. 




NOVEMBER 2000

25 November: UK Tour dates announced.  Tour billed as "An Evening With Jeff Finlin and the Idle Jets".   The Idle Jets consist of Pat Buchanan on guitar, Tony Harrell on keyboards, Alison Prestwood on bass and Greg Morrow on drums.  Jeff will be staying on to do a solo UK tour.
Webcast of the Summer Nights in the Country Festival available from Virtue tv - http://www.virtuetv.com/music/concerts/kevinmontgomery/   This is the show from 26 August 2000 at Hopetoun House, nr Edinburgh, Scotland.   The set lasts 55 minutes.   Jeff's contribution, Sunday's Forgivin', appears 34 minutes into the show. 
20 November:  Jeff Finlin tours Italy 20 November-2 December.




OCTOBER 2000

7 October: Jeff Finlin and Pat Buchanan appeared on the Bob Harris Saturday Show Live from Nashville.   Jeff played Love and Happiness from "Original Fin", and Pat played "All The Umbrellas" from the Idle Jets album "Atomic Fireball".  The music was interspersed with talk about their music and the upcoming spring tour of the UK. 




SEPTEMBER 2000

23 September: Bob Harris played For The Life In Me (Highway Diaries) on his BBC Radio 2 Saturday night Show. (Bob Harris' BBC Radio 2 shows are broadcast via the Internet.  Check our Links page for details.)
16 September: Jeff played Nashville's Bluebird Cafe together with Lance Cowan, Neil Fagan, and friend In the Round.  See the webcast of this excellent show - but get comfortable and make sure you do it justice, the show lasts two hours. 
7 September: Jeff, with the rest of the band, took part in Paul McCartney's 25th anniversary Buddy Holly Party at the Mermaid Theatre, London.   Songs played were "Wishing" and "Not Fade Away".  Others there included David Gilmore, Jools Holland and Tim Rice.




AUGUST 2000

26 August:  Summer Nights in the Country Festival at Hopetoun House, nr Edinburgh, Jeff performed his song Sunday's Forgivin" with Kevin Montgomery's band for the UK tour:  Paul Deakin, Robert Reynolds (Mavericks) and Pat Buchanan (Idle Jets).    Others on the bill included Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle and Little Feat.   Audience:  4,000
10 August: The Perfect Mark of Cain (Original Fin) was played on the Bob Harris Country Show on BBC Radio 2. 
5 August: Bob Harris played The Promised Land (Highway Diaries) on his BBC Radio 2 Saturday night Show.




JULY 2000

29 July:  Bob Harris gave Jeff his first UK airplay on his BBC Radio 2 Saturday Show, by playing Moonlight Becomes the Dawn (from Original Fin).

Somewhere South of Wonder, Jeff's new album, is due to be released around fall 2001.




JUNE 2000

Jeff Finlin will be touring the UK for two weeks commencing 26 August 2000, as support for Kevin Montgomery, who will be accompanied by Robert Reynolds and Paul Deakin of the Mavericks and Pat Buchanan of the Idle Jets.   See Tour Dates page for details.
